CASJ STEM Outreach
International Day of Women and Girls in Science
In Recognition of International Day of Women and Girls in Science
from the Interim President of CAS, Jamaica Chapter
11 February 2026
The Caribbean Academy of Sciences, Jamaica Chapter (CASJ) joins the global community in celebrating the brilliant minds of our women and girls in science. On this International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we pause to recognize the researchers, innovators and students who drive our region's progress.
As an Academy, we continuously reflect on the immense contributions our women scientists make to our country, our region and the world. Through pioneering research and critical policy advice, our women members have proven they are far more than participants, they are the leaders, mentors, and visionaries of our scientific future.
Rooted in the promotion of excellence, CASJ salutes you. To the girls across our islands who dream of a career in science, CASJ stands ready to support you. We are committed to recognizing your outstanding performances, ensuring your achievements are celebrated on the world stage, and promoting a deep public appreciation for the vital role you play in our technological and social evolution. Thank you for your dedication and vision as you continue to guide us toward a more resilient Jamaica and a stronger Caribbean.
Happy International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
